Um, Can We Make This Crazy Face-Off Happen?! (GIFs) Posted 9/11/13 1:30 pm EST by John Walker in Celebrity , Interviews , Videos Can you even handle what a Cher Lloyd and Nicki Minaj collab would look like?! When Cher Lloyd sat down for a quick chat with MTV News , they played an interview game inspired by her new single “I Wish” featuring T.I. Cher was asked about what she wishes she could change about herself (“Me hair!”), things she wishes she didn’t say in an interview (she basically pleads the fifth!), and her dream collaborator. Her answer? Nicki Minaj ! We think this makes so much sense — the “Want U Back” singer and “Love More” rapper are basically, like, the U.K.’s and the U.S.’s respective QUEENS of the crazy face! Can you imagine the music video possibilities for a hypothetical collab? It could be like Sinead O’Connor ‘s “Nothing Compares 2 U” or those close-ups of Miley Cyrus in “Wrecking Ball,” only instead of being stoic and sad, Cher and Nicki display ALL THE EMOTIONS. Or, what about an homage to the John Travolta/ Nicolas Cage cinematic masterpiece “Face/Off,” where our emotive beauties keep switching features with each other?? WHY CAN’T THIS MUSIC VIDEO BE REAL ALREADY?! At least until then (IF EVER #SADS), we’ll have this Cher Lloyd/ Nicki Minaj crazy face GIF wall!

After whispers of her attendance had already reached a fever pitch at the tents at Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week in Lincoln Center on Saturday afternoon, the crowd was ecstatic to see her. And so was an unusually large scrum of photographers and reporters. Thankfully, the seemingly tough “Super Bass” musician had her support system with her. We watched as Nicki turned to longtime boyfriend (and personal assistant) Safaree Samuels with a nervous look on her face every few seconds as they slowly attempted to make their way to their seats. Samuels appeared to be holding her hand for and helping her out with adoring looks as her two burly security guards shouted and shoved to help the pair sit so that the show could get underway. Minaj looking less than pleased (Astrid Stawiarz/Getty Images) We weren’t the only ones who noticed the commotion the muscle created. “Her crew was acting as if they were members of the Secret Service and there was a credible threat to the president … and that president was Nicki Minaj,” New York Magazine’s Fug Girls wrote . “They yelled at reporters to get out of their faces, manhandled those in their wake, and seemingly came close to decking a member of the press corps who tried to snap a front row photo of Nicki.” Once the couple was seated, Nicki still didn’t crack a smile. During the show itself, the 30-year-old star (and her men) seemed to relax a bit, taking in the latest collection of sexy bandage dresses and bathing suits from designer Max Azria. Samuels continuously whispered into her ear as they both snapped photos. Backstage, things seemed a bit lighter, as the former “American Idol” judge hugged and kissed the designer.
